It seems that statements, and thoughts about the nature of truth or about what is real or what is authentic remain useful when used and understood as pointers. Pointing back beyond the realm of words and thoughts to a “seeing.” The seeing that is before even the distinction of see-er and seen, back to the simplicity of that which is. As a pointer that prompts the dropping of facades of thought and identity leaving simply what is. Quite valuable in that sense. There, without boundaries, allowing the desire to assign judgments in the form of words, pictures, or thought formations to pass without reaction, we just sit for a little while. That’s enough.
.
When we convene again
to understand the world,
the first speaker will again
point silently out of the window
at the hillside in its season,
sunlit, under the snow,
and we will nod silently,
and silently stand and go.
